How does a release & re-order session work?
Every session is tailored to you, your home, and your needs. But in general, we’ll follow a three-phase process.
In Phase One, I get to know you and your space. You’ll show me what’s working, what isn’t, and tell me what is causing you the most stress. We map out a game-plan and prioritize where to begin.
Then, in Phase Two, you’ll release everything that doesn’t have a net positive effect on you. (We’ll go over what that means :-p) That includes the old, the broken, the duplicate, the forgotten… all the things that no longer serve a function, bring joy or can be stored effectively.
Finally, in Phase Three, we take those belongings that you truly love & need, and re-organize them into strategic storage systems designed especially for you.
“Joanie was absolutely amazing. She was patient and listened well, and took all my desires and needs into consideration. She often seemed to know what I needed more than I did! My home is now my home, not just a place that I live. Highly recommend.”
— Sophia
“Joanie was such a pleasure to work with. Four months after moving, I still didn’t feel settled in my new apartment. She fixed all that in 5 hours! I couldn’t be happier with what we accomplished. Definitely recommend working with Joanie.”
— Veronica
“Caring, warm and professional all at once. Joanie really took the time to truly get to know the dynamics in our home and what our collective needs would be. Very focused help and feedback- thank you! ”

During a release & reorder session, you can expect:
compassionate but firm guidance as you let go of items that you no longer love/need/use
an extra pair of hands to help cut through the clutter
an analysis of your unique organizational style, and what that means for how you should store your belongings
recommendations for organizational systems that will actually work for you
tips and tricks for how to keep your home feeling good long after I’ve left
drop off service for your give-away items (for a small fee)
“Two separate friends of mine recommended Joanie, and they were right - she's absolutely wonderful! I live in a tiny apartment with a pretty big closet, but the closet was a disaster. Everything was crammed in haphazardly because I couldn't figure out where things should go and would get overwhelmed when I tried to tackle it. Joanie calmly helped me sort through everything and rearrange it in a much more logical and convenient way. She even brought various containers and organizational supplies so we could get more done without waiting for me to buy those items in the future. The things I use often are now more easily accessible and the things I don't use much are more out of the way! Joanie is kind, efficient, professional, completely non-judgmental, and is a delightful person to spend several hours with. I highly recommend her!”

“Joanie was easy to work with, cheerful, and suggested simple but innovative and elegant solutions to my organizational troubles. I’ve struggled for a while without being able to identify a way forward in my multi-function space. Joanie helped me assess the essential functions for the space as well as ways to select products and organization techniques to make all of the functions fit and work beautifully in the space I have. She did not judge me for my mess and made me feel totally normal in the whole process, which was lovely. In the end, I have a beautifully organized space and ideas for working on other rooms in my home. I highly recommend having Joanie help you approach your tricky organization projects!”
